Her blood cries out from the ground

THURSDAY started as a happy day! We were greeted with the news that one of our little ones from church was among the top students at the SSEE examination…and phones rang as we spread the good news around, but by the end of that same day the tables had been turned, or rather overturned… I was in bed last Thursday evening, when I was aroused by the sound of my son’s voice: “Sister Clemmy(Paris) was shot and killed…”.I sprang up like a bolt of lightning as sketchy details of her murder unfolded… and the phone started to ring as word of her brutal murder spread! Sister Clemmy murdered? Who could commit such a dastardly act on an old, defenceless woman! And her blood, like the blood of so many innocent victims cries out from the ground…!
Hear the word of the Lord as found in Habakkuk 2: 9,11 (Holy Bible): “ Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house…for the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the timbers will answer it.” Habakkuk 2: 12, 14. “Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed, who establishes a city by iniquity…For the earth, will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
Sister Clemmy will not be another statistic! She was a woman of God, so tremble on your bed, murderer(s), for the hand of God is upon you and you shall not escape His wrath! Poor, misguided youth, deceived by filthy lucre, there is room for repentance! Choose rather to face the earthly courts, repentant, than face the Almighty in wrath, for judgment is sure and swift!
I remember some years ago, our son was robbed of his brand new bicycle, his gift for being successful at the SSEE exam. I remember that Sunday evening when I called on the church to pray that the thief be caught and brought to justice. Shortly after, a leech by name (Leitch) and nature was apprehended and brought before the courts. He had stolen about twenty children’s cycles, but now he had crossed the prayer line… He was sentenced to four years in prison. He shook our hands as he was escorted out of the courtroom and apologized…I felt sorry for him. We forgave him but he had to serve his time…
I call on God’s people everywhere to pray! Justice must be restored in this land!
Murderer, you have laid your hand on a servant of God and you will not go unpunished, so tremble on your bed and REPENT, for the hand of God is upon you! You too have crossed the prayer line…
