-cash, gold jewellery and DVD player stolen
THIEVES last Saturday at about 19:00 hrs broke into a Police Corporal Tuschen home and stole cash, gold jewellery and a DVD player. Corporal Nirmala Bhagwandin, who is stationed at the Leonora Police Station, told this newspaper that she was not at home on Saturday evening when the thieves broke and entered her home at 185 Bloc 18 Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo and took away $58,000, two gold rings valued at $16,000 and a DVD player valued at $12,000.
Police ranks have taken finger prints but no one has been held so far. Investigations are continuing.
Corporal Bhagwandin also told this newspaper that only about two months ago her car was broken into and the music system valued at $85, 000 was stolen.
