Freedom House – THE People’s Progressive Party (PPP) condemns the vandalism of a billboard erected between the East Coast of Demerara roadway and the Russian Embassy turn depicting, Presidential Candidate and General Secretary of the party, Mr. Donald Ramotar.
The party’s headquarters has been receiving a number of complaints during the course of the day by concerned citizens.
Such a puerile act does not bode well for the upcoming general elections and the party is calling on all Guyanese to reject such behaviour.
The PPP has already registered its concerns with the Guyana Elections Commission and the Guyana Police Force.
The party is encouraging anyone with information to make contact with the police so those responsible will be held accountable, and more importantly, send a strong signal that such behaviour will not be tolerated by society.
