WHEN Freddie Kissoon acknowledges that he has “…been admonished countless times by the ordinary folk that (he) use(s) words and terms they cannot understand. (And that he) admit(s) guilt, “it comes over as a ‘massaging of his own ego (you know, like he is bright). On the contrary this does not really happen, and it is not going to happen. Many ordinary people read Dev, Dr. Roopnarine, Prof. Rodney, Dr. Jagan etc. and get the gist of what they are saying. This is because they are saying something. With Freddie, he has nothing worth saying, and he says this ‘nothing’ in a most cumbersome way. His solecisms and malapropisms are too abundant, and all of these are wrapped up in personal vendetta, animosity and spite.
Now regarding his ineffective diatribe in KN (Wed. June 8, 2011), he assumes that he is an academic, but he lacks the requisite integrity, acumen and class. His whole demeanour and deportment (according to him, dee-port-a maw) suggest otherwise. Freddie is in fact the very antithesis of anything wholesome and academic. The outstanding lecturers at the University of Guyana have been the Drs. Jonases, Chanderballis, Lonckes etc. definitely, not a Freddie. By the way, Dr or Professor Freddie really looks orthographically incongruous. So Freddie should cease, really must cease from seeking to assume a belonging where he has become a ‘conspicuous, obnoxious protuberance.’
Now read the sub-man-quack –academic again. President Jagdeo is lodged permanently as a disruptive luminary in his psyche. This is so obvious. That is why Freddie takes umbrage with all of Jagdeo’s admirers. So FK’s irrelevant and cursorial invoking of the religion of Zoroastrianism is another clumsy and vain attempt at being ‘academic.’ So again his unsubstantiated subjectivity is obvious, as he meanders into “…it would appear that President Jagdeo had Nietzsche in mind… when he gave his last major, national address to Guyanese – Independence Day.” (No imbecile). Jagdeo is his own man. The UN, EU, CARICOM etc all know this. Freddie cannot know what Jagdeo has/had in mind. So for Freddie Kissoon “Zarathustra’s speech was full of wisdom…” (So in Freddian style, one can assume that FK is a Zoroastrian) and so “…Mr. Jagdeo (did not fall) fall down, and unlike the ‘scholar manquй, Jagdeo was timely, poignant and relevant.
Here are a few questions Freddie can never intellectualise upon: 1.What are ‘Freudian underpinnings?’ 2. What is this ‘Freudian genie’ he is referring to? 3. What is being ‘Kafkaesque’? One wants to know if Freddie Kissoon ever actually read Sigmund Freud, better yet, is he aware of anything within Freudian philosophical thoughts? Also, Freddie should elucidate on his use of the word ‘Kafkaesque’ in terms of the story and hence the etymology of the word.
Here is a good close-Freddie is wrong about the Norway situation. His ‘bellyful of importance’ led him to write the Norwegian minister, and in all likelihood, this man (like VS Naipaul) does not know that a buffoon incarnate Freddie Kissoon exists. Freddie deems his little Grade 9 (Form Three) compositions as actual essays. (LOL). So “Guyana’s Zarathustra is (not) about to bow out…” CARICOM wants him. Who wants Freddie Kissoon? He is warped and wrapped in feculence (Fmmm).
