Baksh outlines expenditure on Essequibo Coast roads, buildings

CHAIRMAN of Region 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Ali Baksh has disclosed that the Government, through the Regional Administration, is spending $95.1M to upgrade streets, bridges, a health centre and Charity Hospital. He said work is in progress on Bibi Street at Lima; Roy and New School Streets, in Queenstown; Main Street in Pomona Housing Scheme; Cross Street in Cullen; Ball Field Street and Bisnauth Street in Reliance; Faзade Dam at Bush Lot; Sand Reef Road in Suddie Housing Scheme; Masjid Street, in Queenstown and Faзade Dam in Henrietta, all on Essequibo Coast.
According to Baksh, $53.3M will be expended on the upgrading with sand, loam and crusher run.
He said the expense to construct new bridges at Windsor Castle and Richmond villages is $10.9M and $24.8M is for Charity Hospital and do repairs to Good Hope Health Centre.
