POTENTIAL Guyanese house owners will today be facilitated with 1000 more house lots at the Eccles Industrial Area, East Bank Demerara, under the Ministry of Housing’s ‘One Stop Shop’ initiative. Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon said so yesterday when he conducted his usual post-cabinet press briefing at the Office of the President.
A ‘One Stop Shop’ activity will be held today at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara, under the auspices of the Housing Ministry.
It will commence at 9:00hrs. On this occasion, Luncheon said the actual distribution of the house lots will take place within the various categories of ownership: low income, middle income and high income.
“Four billion dollars had been allocated for the purchase and use in providing for the housing extension on the East Bank of Demerara. And I have been advised by the Housing Ministry that this 1,000 house lots distribution is one of the direct accomplishments of the use of that money in implementing that decision,” he stated.
