FREEDOM HOUSE – A PPP delegation led by PPP/C Presidential Candidate Mr. Donald Ramotar and PPP Executive Committee Member Mr. Robert Persaud, along with the Region 9 PPP Committee members, yesterday visited several Rupununi communities affected by heavy rainfall to assess the impact as well as to provide support to the national response.

Mr. Ramotar and Mr. Persaud, who is also Minister of Agriculture, assured the communities that the PPP/C government will ensure a concerted response and will provide support for recovery, especially to the farming sector. Mr. Ramotar also handed over to the communities a large quantity of food supply.
During his interaction with those affected, Mr. Ramotar assured that his party will continue its support to the ongoing flood relief efforts being led by the government and related agencies.
