TROY Selman was fined $3,000 and ordered to do six months community service yesterday, after being convicted of prohibited drug possession. Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded guilty to the offence, admitting that, on June 4, he had two grammes of cannabis (marijuana).
Selman said the narcotic was for his personal use.
He has to do the community service at Brickdam Police Station in Georgetown.
