WINNERS of the ‘Lucky Day Mother’s Day Shopping Promotion’ on Monday received their prizes at a handing-over ceremony at the company’s Regent Street facility in the city.
The ten lucky shoppers, each of whom won a food hamper valued at $10,000 in the promotion which ran from April 27th to May 8 last, were: Michael Hintzin; Devi Chandarpal; Noel Bhagwandin; Anthony Morgan; Lisa Niles-Goggins; Lilawattie Gopaul; Ronald Hannif; Hamid Rahim; Bridgette Duncan and Yansen Gardner.
Six of the winners were on hand to receive their prizes presented by Chain Manager, Mr. Robert Arjoone, while four others, Chandarpal, Haniff, Rahim and Gardner, who were unavoidably absent, will receive their prizes at a later date.
The purchases were made at three Lucky Dollar outlets
(Regent Street – producing six winners; Vreed-en-Hoop – two, and Corriverton– 2). Shoppers were required to shop items to the value of $30,000 or more to qualify for entry to the promotion.
Lucky Dollar which opened its doors in Guyana over two years ago, now has four branches. The most recent addition is at Mon Repos, which was opened last week.
Meanwhile, with the big Mother’s Day promotion having recently been drawn, there’s another big one currently being offered: The incredible ‘$1 down’ promotion, in which a customer can enter into a hire purchase agreement with the company and take possession of the item after making a deposit of just ‘one single dollar’.
