Norman McLean is new GAPSO President

GUYANA Association of Private Security Organisations (GAPSO) elected a new president at its last April 26 annual general meeting (AGM).
A release said the election of Major General (ret’d) Norman Mc Lean, of Omai Gold Mines Limited (OGML), was unopposed to replace outgoing President Lieutenant Colonel (ret’d) Gregory Gaskin, of Cops Guyana Ltd.
Gaskin had previously served in the position for three consecutive terms from 2008.
McLean, a former Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), has been Human Resources Manager of OGML for a number of years and was, at various times, President of Guyana Manufacturers Association (GMA) as well as Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association. (GGDMA).
As new GAPSO President, he will be assisted in his duties by Lt. Colonel (ret’d) Randy Storm, of Banks DIH, Secretary; Mr. Clyde Layne, of Neal and Massy Security Solutions, Treasurer and Mr. Dougal Kirkpatrick, of Professional Guard Service (PGS), Committee Member.
