GT&T collaborates with the Dramatic Arts Academy in Cinderella play

The famous fairy tale Cinderella will soon be coming to the stage of the National Cultural Centre in the form of a rib-splitting comedy which will feature some of Guyana’s most popular actors. At a press conference yesterday, CEO of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company, Mr. Yog Mahadeo,  assured the public that the show will be convenient for all families.
Actor and Director of Dramatic Arts Academy, Neaz Subhan, said that the production cost for this play is very high with all the props and stage setting and GT&T’s participation is very timely. He noted that the show will be the first of its kind in Guyana.
Subhan, describing the play, said it will have seven main characters and the audience will play an integral role in the play.
Director Mahadeo Shivraj said that the play will be at a level that will “amaze patrons”. Continuing, he noted that the morale of such a play is that the one who has faith will win in the end. Shivraj expressed the hope that patrons would find values in the play that they can relate to and perhaps use in their own lives.
Also present at the press conference were GT&T’s Public Relations Officer, Allison Parker and actress Sonia Yarde.

The cast of the play includes Kerry Pang in the starring role of Cinderella, Sonia Yarde as the Fairy Godmother, Neaz Subhan as the Basin, Rochelle Edmondson as the wicked stepmother, Chris Gopaul as the prince, and Keisha Narine and Clemencia Godette as the wicked step-sisters.
The show will commence this Saturday at 19:00hrs while the matinee shows are on tomorrow and Thursday at 14:00hrs.
