Freddie’s flawed interpretation of Zakaria’s theory

AFTER reading Freddie Kissoon’s rambling on Wednesday March 30, 2011 on what Zakaria said, I burst into laughter. Zakaria’s work on the inherent limitations of fair elections in a sharply, ethnically divided society makes for learned reading.

Zakaria’s main point is that openly fair elections can produce victories for fascists and racists. That is what Zakaria said.

This is what Freddie Kissoon said: “Immediately Guyana comes to mind. It is outside the scope of a newspaper column to enumerate the perversities, immoralities, venalities of the elected government in Guyana since the 2006 general election. But the list is as long as the Essequibo River.”

Readers, did you follow what Zakaria said and what Freddie said?

Let me cut this short and sweet for Freddie, the clown.

Freddie go and tell the people of South Africa not to hold elections ever again because the whites cannot win an election ever again.

If Freddie Kissoon is not a clown then there are no clowns.
