Reward offered for info on laptop stolen from car

AFTER losing his Laptop two days ago from his car with absolutely no sign of forced entry, Network Administrator Holis Williams, who is still reeling from the loss, is seeking some form of redress. For Williams, last Friday was like any other with the young man leaving for work at 7:30 hrs from his home in South Georgetown and putting his laptop in his car. Unfortunately, it was not until he was ready to go home later that afternoon at around 17:30 hrs, that he noticed his prized possession missing.
A mystified Williams remarked: “It’s like if I said borrow my laptop”. He admits that there was one point during the day when his car door was left unlocked but says that it was for only a very short period of time.
Around 7:45 hrs, he went to his mom who resides not far from where he lives, to pick her up and spent about thirty minutes there. His mother, who prefers to remain unnamed, corroborates his story confirming the visit and the time.
A visit to a Hadfield Street lawyer followed and it was there where Williams left his car unlocked for about five minutes, although he was not out of sight.
The laptop, a Dell Studio model, has only been in use for four months and was purchased by Williams last December. Along with the laptop, he lost a laptop bag, a 2 GB flash drive, a 2 GB SD card, a 4GB Mini flash drive, a USB mouse, an earphone and mike combo and a pouch full of software. Also taken were several important financial documents.
Williams reported the matter to the East La Penitence Police Station but received a non-committal response.
Persons with information can contact Williams on telephone number: 218-1145. A reward is offered.
