THE Ministry of Human Services and Social Security is hosting a mini-exhibition of portraits of women of 2010, which has been mounted by the National Resource and Documentation Centre for Gender and Development as part of the Ministry’s observances of International Women’s Day 2011.
The ministry said that the exhibition is the precursor to a major one which will be mounted later in the year and which, in keeping with the UN declaration of the Year of People of African Descent, will have a focus on the contribution of women of African descent.
One of the objectives of the exhibition is to project some women as role models for young people.
