THE police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 18.45hrs Saturday, during which Petam Parasram, 32, of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara and his wife, Jenita, were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The two victims were in their grocery store when the men entered and held them at gunpoint. They then took away their personal jewellery, $100,000 in cash, a number of cell phone cards, and a cell phone, and escaped.
