DURLALL (only name given) was fined $50,000 with the alternative of six months imprisonment yesterday, on conviction for assault to cause actual bodily harm. He pleaded guilty before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin, at the Vreed-en-Hoop Court, admitting that, on March 16, at Met-en-Meerzorg, also on West Coast Demerara, he assaulted Surojdeo Durlall causing her actual bodily harm.
Apart from the fine, Durlall was put on a bond, to keep the peace for six months or spend one month in jail.
