IN yesterday’s edition of the Chronicle, we carried a story from the Government Information Agency (GINA) in which it was reported that the progress on the work of the new in-patient facility being constructed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) is 85% complete. The GINA story quoted Minister within the Ministry of Health Dr. Bheri Ramsaran as saying the first floor of the facility is expected to be handed over in “early April”.
However, Executive Director of the Health Sector Development Unit (HSDU) Mr. Keith Burrowes said this is erroneous, since the first floor of the facility is be handed over as early as “this month-end”.
Mr. Burrowes’ designation was also incorrectly stated in the article.
The Chronicle apologises for the errors and for any embarrassment or inconvenience caused.
