I WISH to congratulate the Chronicle on the recent article: ‘Young American Volunteers help Promote Peace Here’.
I am particularly proud that the Guyana Chronicle has highlighted this to Guyanese and the world, for several reasons:

** On 17th of December, 2005, the Founder and head of the Unification Movement, the Inter-religious and International Federation of World peace, the Universal Peace Federation, and many such organizations, who is also a renowned, successful and philanthropic businessman, visited Guyana.   The Guyana Chronicle carried a very demeaning article of the gentleman and the organization after the presentation at the National Cultural Centre, calling the followers and organizers: MOONIES. A term meant to be derogatory.  The article was extremely uncomplimentary and unbecoming of a national newspaper, the people’s newspaper. 

** The Special Task Force is one of the many arms of the Universal Peace Federation inspired and started by the Holy Father and Founder.

** The Founder, the Holy Rev. Sung Myung Moon, has dedicated his life and industries for the cause of peace. For the cause of peace he went to prison, and many times attempts were made at his life. Attempts are always made on the lives of Holy Founders, Reformers, Prophets, Seers and Teachers. 

** He (Holy Father) wrote dozens of books of Peace, and have travelled around the world countless of times in the cause of peace.

** He believes in the Bridging of the Bering Strait, and showed how it was possible by tunnel, and how to get the money. More than that in dollars went to the obnoxious Iraq invasion and massacres in Iraq as he has shown and as we know.

** He believes in the Peace Highway which will circle the earth, with no one having to get an entry permit. He has shown how this is possible.
** He and the UPF are involved with the Government of Japan and South Korea in the construction of the tunnel to link the two countries and ancient enemies.

** He has pioneered group marriages with marriages of peoples of various races around the world, up to one hundred thousand couples at times. All, to bring the world closer. But he has been ridiculed for this. Those with eyes cannot see.

** He has created the Ambassadors of Peace network, in which men and women of high society, with other classes, all classes, are appointed as Ambassadors of Peace, to work their societies, their communities, their countries and the world, to create harmony, to be conflict transformers and educators. All for the cause of a better world community, where all peoples will live in respect and dignity regardless of race, or colour or class.  Is this so bad? His message like those of the prophets from time immemorial is sublime, eternal, enduring and consistent with the teachings of all Holy Books on Universal Brotherhood of Man and the Fatherhood of God.

** He takes Ambassadors for magnificent conferences around the world to educate us, so that we may work for harmony. All at extremely great costs, expenses undertaken by him through his blessed successful businesses.

** God Almighty continues to bless him despite his age with new ideas for World Unification and Peace.

These youthful volunteers, who worked for their passage to Guyana, who sacrificed their time to work for Guyanese, socialize with Guyanese and with other groups from around the world and are taught to sacrifice, to earn, and reach for greatness; theirs’ is something like the US Peace Corps.  There are other groups who sacrifice up to two and five years in the cause of peace through their Divine Rev. Sung Myung Moon.

A time will come when men and women will doubt that a Man as the Rev. (Dr.) Sung Myung Moon walked this earth. Thank God he has the foresight to record his works and store them in the Champeyoung Palace in the Champeyounge Mountains, for thousands of years, where this writer was blessed to visit, like a floating palace in the sky, with clouds moving around.

I send a special compliment to these wonderful children for coming to Guyana. Let our people also learn to volunteer.
