ARIF Bulkan has just crossed a line that he never should have in his article (Would Cheddi…) in Stabroek News on Monday, March 7.
The article deserves only contempt because it is a bunch of half-truths, innuendos, outright fabrications, and personal attacks. More than that, Arif Bulkan has written something that is nothing short of inciting extremist hatred against the president of Guyana.
Mr. Bulkan should be ashamed of himself for advocating this loose-assed class hatred. What the hell is wrong with people brushing their teeth in their yard?
Bulkan has now joined flame-thrower Freddie Kissoon in an attempt to malign the president. Like Kissoon, he too will fail. The Guyanese people know better.
I will get straight to the point here – people like Arif Bulkan in all probability believe if you no longer have the benefits of the old patronage system as under the PNC, you should attack the head of state, and in doing so, you should produce the most putrid, miasmic material, all the while hiding behind human rights.
The Bulkan persecution complex will fall flat on its face, and when all is said and done that hatred, that gargling hatred characteristic of Arif Bulkan’s missive, will be left standing for all to see.
Sometimes the business families in this country believe that they own this place outright and if the president does not cough-up PNC-style old-boys benefits, they should cuss him down.
For some, when they don’t get their way, the whole gang joins in the act of defamation, – brother, sister, cousins, and all. They especially like to gang up on public personalities if they are seeking government assistance for their failing businesses because of their own inept management. Three hundred million dollars is a lot of money to ask for and the president of this country bravely said no!
Afrif Bulkan’s sister spent a whole year trying to convince the Norwegian government that Guyana’s LCDS is flawed. As it turned out it was her arguments that were flawed. She has now been thoroughly discredited. No one wants to hear from her.
Arif Bulkan viciously attacked the head of state for benefits but failed to mention that these were approved by parliament and had the full accent of the Leader of the Opposition.
One wonders if Arif Bulkan knows that many of the benefits he is against were actually given to past presidents and their spouses. I wonder if Arif Bulkan knows that although both President Hoyte and his wife have died that their property still has security paid for by the Government of Guyana.
Bulkan’s real estate analysis is nothing short of conspicuous class hatred. Here is what the man wrote in regards to the location of the president’s house – “Across the canal to the east there is the constant reminder of Guyana’s impoverished masses, where one can see people bathing, brushing their teeth, and conducting all manner of personal hygiene rituals in full public view.”
Mr. Bulkan should be ashamed of himself for advocating this loose-assed class hatred. What the hell is wrong with people brushing their teeth in their yard?
You can’t have it both ways. Before, the discourse was that Pradoville is too uppity. Today, Arif Bulkan comes with a new excremental epistemology! Bulkan should clean up his own white collar miasma, rather than incite hatred and extremism. Arif Bulkan apparently does not want to see poor people next to him.
For years now the president has been cultivating a culture of prosperity. That opportunity is for all Guyanese. One more thing – this has nothing to do with Jagan or Hoyte. Neither would have tolerated the obscene and disrespectful rant from Arif Bulkan.
