Some was floats. Some did “floating”
De Bluetoother see de plenty thousand that went and Mash. Now plenty get “mash” up. Some mash some people foot while dem get mash too. Some seh some people foot too big mek it get mash. De party was really big and given the big big crowd, de space to “shake” was small. Some shake, some rattle, some dribble, some drool while some vex. De “vexers” was dem who ain’t want people fuh come out and mash. Dem who ain’t like de guvment don’t want Mash fuh happen. Dem blue vex. Dem thought de rain would wash Mash. It didn’t.

Even de weather people seh it gon rain. De sun shine all day meking every body sweat and de “rain-sayers” look “bassidy”. It was plenty float. One man seh if it did rain, then Mash would have been true. It would have been a true “float” parade. De “rain-sayers” was looking forward to that. It didn’t happen. Dem expectations get float away. Even though it didn’t rain, plenty people did “floating”. Some because o’ high alcohol levels and some from a type o’ dance where yuh foot and hand don’t touch ground.

Others did “floating” due to de crowd suspending dem. All in all it was good “floating”. De church group was “floating” too. Dem was “floating” with de Holy spirit. Dem seh dem pray fuh sun. De answer was positive. De weather people asking dem full help in predicting de weather. Dem yet to answer. One DJ now gat to answer. He play de wrong kind o’ music. De revellers stop “float”. Dem protest. De DJ had to play want dem want; Soca. De revellers seh de DJ really “bassidy”. He mighten be “floating” next year.

It had all kind o’ floats. Some small, some big. Some tek a certain man fuh a whole float. Uncle Henry was walking ‘bout and get mistaken fuh de Joint Services float. Even Brassy get mistake fuh de GPL float. Is all in de spirit o’ Mash. Some mistake gon happen. Thank de almighty Uncle Frank didn’t postpone de day. That would have been a mistake. On a different serious note, de Bluetoother will miss Uncle Sharief. He was a good friend who always willing to help. Rest in Peace friend. Enjoy your journey as you float your way to heaven. Hmmm!
