LEON Daniels (no address given) was remanded to prison yesterday, on possession of firearm and ammunition and robbery under arms charges. He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and pleaded not guilty to the two summary offences, particulars of which alleged that, on February 14, he had three live rounds of .38 ammunition and a .38 revolver without being the holder of licences for them.
The indictable charge said, on February 12, being armed with a gun, he robbed Vacasey Winth of a gold chain amongst booty worth a total $248,900.
The cases will be called, again, on March 1.
