THE police are investigating a robbery yesterday at the Regional Democratic Office at Mackenzie, Linden, in which three men, one of whom was armed, took away $5.4M in cash and a quantity of cheques.

Police say that about 02:40 hrs, the perpetrators held the security guard at gun point and took away the keys to the building, after which they entered the office, torched the safe and removed a canister containing the cash and cheques, and escaped.
