… several Sub-committees formed
THE Guyana Boxing Board of Control retained its Executive en bloc for a third consecutive term when their Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held last Sunday January 31 at the Conference Room of the Civil Defence Commission, Thomas Lands. Returned unopposed were: President Peter Abdool; Vice President Andrew Thorne; Secretary Francis Abraham; Treasurer Aubrey Henry and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Clairmont DeSouza. There was one change to the Members of the Board where long-standing Amateur Boxing Official Howard Cox has replaced Paul Slowe who has migrated. The rest of the Board Members are: Trevor Arno, Eion Jardine, Patricia Green, Troy Cadogan, Bernard DeSantos and Dr Max Hanoman.
Meanwhile, seven Sub-committees have been formed and among them is the Finance and Fundraising, which is comprised of Aubrey Henry, Peter Abdool, Andrew Thorne, Clairmont DeSouza and Francis Abraham. The Medical/Safety is made up of Dr Max Hanoman, Patricia and Clairmont DeSouza while Andrew Thorne, Francis Abraham, Orin Harte and Eion Jardine will take care of Ring/Security.
Public Relations will be handled by Trevor Arno, Patricia Green, Eion Jardine, Rawle Aaron and Howard Cox and the Disciplinary/Constitutional team will be Bernard DeSantos, Francis Abraham, Patricia Green and Howard Cox.
Ratings and Records will be the responsibility of Trevor Arno, Andrew Thorne and Eion Jardine who will also be responsible for Judges and Referees.  (Ras Abdalla Tafari Wadada)
