Mother of four in hospital with dislocated hip, fractured legs

JENNIFER Gomes, a mother of four, struck down by a speeding CBR motor cycle on the Mc Doom Public Road last Saturday, remains warded at the Female Surgical Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) in serious condition. Gomes, 49, of 22 Public Road, Mc Doom, was struck down around 17:00hrs, while on a pedestrian crossing in the vicinity of Tony’s Tire shop.
In bed with fractured legs, a dislocated hip and other injuries, the injured mother, who is employed as a domestic, is now wondering what lies in store for her and her four

children, since the rider of the motor cycle which struck her, Peter Gordon, of Walker Terrace, East La Penitence, visited her in hospital once and never looked back, she said.
The motorist was reportedly charged and released on station bail in the sum of $5,000.
Meanwhile, the police have been visiting her daily in hospital, trying to get a statement. But she says she is not well enough to make a statement now, and will do so later.
