A WOMAN alleging years of abuse by her paramour was yesterday put on $100,000 bail after pleading not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding him.
Finola Trim, 38, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, accused of having wounded Jason Hinds on December 28, 2010.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, said the defendant and virtual complainant were in a relationship when a heated argument arose between them and she stabbed him on his upper left side chest.
The Prosecutor said Trim (no address given) was cooperating with the Police.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Mark Waldron, for the defence, said the defendant endured an abusive relationship for years but requested that both parties be placed on a bond until the determination of the case, which will be called, again, on January 21.
