FORTY-YEAR-OLD David Churaman, who behaved in a disorderly manner after Magistrate Fabayo Azore adjourned Albion Court on January 13, has been fined $20,000.
He had a traffic case but became annoyed when the adjournment was taken at 16:30 hrs and his was among others postponed.
As a result of his annoyance, Churaman raised his voice in a loud tone to express his displeasure, and although warned by Police ranks about his behaviour, continued to protest.
The hire car driver appeared before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo, at New Amsterdam Court, also in Berbice, on Monday, when he regretted the incident and promised there would be no recurrence.
His alternative to paying the fine is three months imprisonment.
