CAN THE PNCR make public, its achievements over the last four years as the main opposition party? I think if they do, they would not need a paper larger than a 1’ x 1’ yellow sticky-pad leaf and even that may be too big.
I think the leader, Robert Corbin, and the other decision makers of the party should be utterly ashamed of their non-performance over the years. What is most disturbing is the fact that this party will suddenly become visible and active in the coming days, weeks and months as it tries to convince Guyanese why they should put their X next to the palm tree.
As the Rip Van Winkles of the PNCR emerge from their years-old slumber, and some from the woodwork and cracks in the floor, a la Dr. Faith Harding, they must be cognizant of the fact that Guyanese are not stupid. Before placing their X they will ask two very valid questions, where has the PNCR been all these years and what exactly are they capable of doing if given an opportunity to govern.
Well, we know where the PNCR has not been, and that is at the forefront of representing the interest of its supporters and the Guyanese people. We also know what they are not capable of, and that’s providing vibrant visionary leadership. This adds up to one thing, a vote of no confidence.
PNCR an ‘election year party’
