THE Essequibo Technical Institute (ETI) yesterday concluded a two-day workshop, started Thursday, to upgrade staff, under the theme ‘Enhancing Human Resource Capacity towards efficiency in delivery of technical and vocational education and training.’
Speaking in the Regional Boardroom at Anna Regina, where the seminar is underway, Chairman of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh told the 32 participants, comprising full and part time lecturers and other workers, that the programme is very important to prepare them to deliver quality service that will enhance human resource development at the ETI.
He also spoke on conflict resolution, attendance and punctuality at work and encouraged them to make full use of the exercise, to prepare themselves for delivery of exceptional high standards to students during 2011.
Some of the topics on the agenda are rules and regulations for the Public and Teaching Services and stores, accounting procedures, clinical supervision and calendar of activities.
