ALLEGED murderer Delroy James known as ‘Slant Eye’, who snuffed out the life of Sean Craig, a customer at Mars Gas Station , was remanded to prison following his appearance before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo in the Reliance Court, East Canje, Berbice.

James, and ex-convict, was released from prison last April, having served an eight year sentence for robbery under arms.

Prison officials revealed that James, an amateur boxer, was released on the grounds that he behaved well.

Police Corporal Roberto Figueira, prosecuting, said that on January 1 last, mere minutes into the New Year, Craig, also called ‘Pig man’, a car washer , was a customer at the business entity  and was about to pay for beverages taken when he was shot.

The injured man was rushed to the New Amsterdam hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The case has been transferred to New Amsterdam Court on February 21.

Meanwhile, Craig will be buried tomorrow at the Stanleytown Cemetery , following a service at the Historical Mission Chapel Congregational church.
