Anna Regina Police Station gets public convenience

THE Management Committee has funded the construction of a public convenience in the compound of Anna Regina Police Station.
Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Baney Persaud said the project, which cost $320,000, has provided toilets for both male and female and a urinal for men.

He said members saw the need and secured the money through fund-raisers and donations from the public.
Persaud said, previously, members of the public, who attend the Magistrate’s Court or visit the Police Station, had no place to answer calls of nature.
He said the new facility, which also is equipped with sinks to wash hands, is for use by Police ranks stationed there, as well.
