A DRIVER is in police custody assisting with investigations following a fatal accident at Aurora on the Essequibo Coast on Saturday last (Christmas Day).
Police said the incident occurred around 20:00 hrs when pedestrian, Doodnauth Arjune, 39, of Aurora was walking along the public road when he was struck down by the driver of motor car PMM 9067. Arjune was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he succumbed at about 07:00 hrs yesterday.
The driver has been arrested.
