A number of happy women have received and given the greatest gift of all on this Christmas Day, the birth of a beautiful baby boy or girl.

The Cheekies family at ANSA McAL Trading continued to follow its long-standing tradition of presenting ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ hampers to all mothers who gave birth on Christmas Day at Hospitals in Georgetown. To mark the occasion of the twelfth anniversary of the ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ presentation, Mr. Nigel Dodson, Marketing Assistant at the Consumer Goods Division of ANSA McAL Trading Ltd., shared the following poem with all new mothers:

What a precious bundle of joy you are
cute from head to toe
You melt our hearts with your sweetness
everywhere you go

You’re a special gift this Christmas
sent from heaven above
A perfect little angel
for all of us to love

Mr. Nigel Dodson then said that it was his and the company’s pleasure to celebrate with the new mothers and to actively partake in the season of giving by sharing gifts from Cheekies.

Mr. Dodson then proceeded to share out Cheekies hampers to all mothers of newborns. All hampers that were shared out contained 80 or more Cheekies Cloth Soft diapers, a Cheekies Growth Chart and some valuable personal care items as a personal appreciation for all new mothers.
Two extra large hampers were presented to the first boy and girl at Georgetown Public Hospital.

* Carina Straughn, 18 years, from  D’ Field Sophia gave birth to her first baby girl, at 02:40 hrs
* Nadia Mohamed, 21 years, from Supply, East Bank Demerara who gave birth to her second baby girl, at 06:37 hrs
* Amanda Chapel, 20 years, from Plantain Walk, West Bank Demerara who gave birth to her first baby boy, at 08:35 hrs

BALWANT SINGH HOSPITAL
* Padminie Prashad, 27 years, from Correntyne Berbice gave birth to her first baby girl, at 07:44 hrs
* K.V. Harris, 31 years, from Meadowbrook Gardens, gave birth to her second baby, a girl, at 09:15 hrs
* Natasha George, 28 years, from Eccles, E.B.D., gave birth to her third child, a baby boy, at 09:30 hrs

WOODLANDS HOSPITAL
* Kamini Mangru, from Soesdyke, E.B.D., gave birth to her second baby, a girl, at 01:14 hrs
* Jashree Deonarine, from Tuschen, E.B.E, gave birth to her first baby boy at 06:40 hrs
* Nandranie Harrichan, from Good Hope Mahaica (she was in the Labour Room at press time expecting a baby girl)

St. JOSEPH’S MERCY HOSPITAL
* Devika Ograsein, 33 years, from Non Pariel, E.C.D, gave birth to her fourth baby, a boy at 01:30 hrs

“It was truly a pleasure for the Cheekies family to visit and spend some time with all of these mothers who had to be away from home during the holiday,” ANSA McAl said in a statement.

“But the joy for the families of all new mothers that we have visited will surely come when they proudly return home with a new family member!,” the company added.
