Our workers are among our precious assets

The Mayor and City Council wishes to thank all of its employees for their commitment to the work of the city. Frankly, without the hard work and commitment of employees, in harsh conditions, the council could not have achieved drainage, environmental and other works, communities. Looking back, employees endured with patience and understanding, many difficulties. The tight economic situation and precarious financial reality in which council must serve the citizens affected its ability to meet its financial and other obligations to its staff. Still, they pressed on cleaning our canals, repairing bridges, enforcing the city by- laws, and providing maternal and child welfare and day care services to citizens. It is true that many workers have been in the employ of council for more than two decades, and that they have worked with great dedication with little remuneration  in their particularly stations.
We recognize that our workers are among our precious assets. We care for their welfare and well-being. This is essentially why we will continue to make every effort to create the appropriate environment that would enhance their personal development and work performance.
