Banks DIH entertains children at Santa Parade

SCORES of delighted children converged on the Cultural Centre Tarmac yesterday, collecting colourful toys and tasty treats during the Banks DIH 5th Annual Christmas Santa Parade. According to Coca Cola Soft Drinks Manager, Ms. Jennifer Khan, the festive activity is held every year during the week leading up to Christmas, when they distribute more than 5,000 toys in addition to tasty treats and sweets for the children living in under-privileged communities.
Ms. Khan highlighted that there has been four such activities for 2010 in Buxton, on the East Coast of Demerara, and in the city.

She said, “It’s a way of showing our appreciation to our customers and saying thanks for supporting us throughout the year,” adding, “Sometimes we tend to forget that there are kids out there who are less fortunate”.
Meanwhile, in addition to the ice cream, beverages and toys, the Banks DIH staff also shared a touch of cheer as smiles were evident on all of the faces, big and small.
