CHRISTMAS and Santa Claus came early for about 400 East Bank Demerara children, thanks to the Lion’s Club of Central Demerara which hosted its annual Christmas parties December 5. The first party was held at the Diamond Special Needs School, while the other was at the club’s den in New Providence, both East Bank Demerara locations.
Under the leadership of the club’s President Sharon Letlow, Lions and members of the Ladies Auxiliary ensured that the children had an enjoyable afternoon.
Santa had the little ones dancing with him before he settled down to present each child with a gift and a bag of goodies.
