Paramour accused of theft granted bail

ERIKA Alexander (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday and was put on $20,000 bail after pleading not guilty to simple larceny. It is alleged that the defendant, last December 9, stole US$750 and one Canadian passport, property of Randolph Skeete.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said Alexander and Skeete share a common law relationship and that the latter had secured his belongings in a suitcase with a padlock but, later, discovered that the lock was broken and belongings missing.
The defendant has to be back in Court on December 16.
