THE respective category winners in the just concluded Guyana Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA)-organised Pegasus Hotel Open tennis tournament received their prizes during a simple ceremony held at the Pegasus courts Thursday evening.
General Manager of Pegasus Hotel, Rajat Chabra, assisted with the distribution of the prizes to the winners who were : Girls 14 and under Singles winner Aretta Dey, runner-up Africa Gentle; Boys 14 and under winner Khalid Gobin, runner-up Benedict Sukra; Girls 18 and under Singles winner – Krystal Sukra, runner-up Nicola Ramdyhan.
Boys 18 and under winner – Gavin Lewis, runner-up – Daniel Lopes; Men 55 and over Doubles winners – Bobby Khan/Omar Persaud, runners-up Maxie Fox/Steve Surujbally; Men 45 and over Doubles winners – Omar Persaud/Godfrey Lowden, runners-up Harry Panday/Victor Da Silva.
Men 35 and over Doubles winners – Omar Persaud/Godfrey Lowden, runners-up Don Singh/Sanjeev Datadin; Men’s Doubles Open winners Lowden/Phillip Squires, runners-up Andy Goveia/Ezra Sue-Ho; Mixed Doubles winners Jeremy Miller/Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan, runners-up A. Goveia/K. Sukra.
Men 45 and over Singles winner Harry Panday, runner-up Stephen David Longe; Men 35 and over Singles winner D.
