ITUNI Village Warriors emerged as champions in the Linden zone of the Regal Stationery and Computer Centre-sponsored Guyana Softball League (GSL)/Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport Over-35 Twenty20 softball cricket competition last Sunday.
The champs defeated Lamp Island by 17 runs in the final, after getting past Malali Conquerors by 57 runs in their semi- final matchup.

Ituni Village Warriors defeated Malali Conquerors by 57 runs. Ituni Village Warriors 102-4 from 10 overs (Samantha Benjamin 33, Felicia Fraser 30; Josephine Ashby 2-15); Malali Conquerors 45 all out from 9.2 overs (Samantha Benjamin 3-2).
Lamp Island defeated Malali Conquerors by 19 runs. Lamp Island 91-2 from 10 overs (Noreen Rogers 28, Faye Barkoye 21, Rochelle Daniels 2-6); Malali Conquerors 72-7 from 10 overs (Faye Barkoye 3-7).
