“GUYANA has certainly lost someone very special,” the Guyana Public Service Union (GPSU) said in its message extending heartfelt condolences to the late Winston Murray’s family, his compatriots, his colleagues and his friends.
“The National Assembly, the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) and the entire country has lost an exceptional Guyanese and an enlightened influential figure in the history of our country,” the union stated.
According to the union, Murray was “a true son of Guyana’s soil” who had a posture that crossed national, cultural and political spheres.
“He was a symbol of integrity and profound professional practice,” GPSU said.
“The late Winston Murray will be missed and, in time, we hope his vision for the country to which he gave untiring service will come to fruition,” it added.
