GEORGETOWN Public Hospital (GPH) nurse Ursilla Hutson was reported in stable condition yesterday, after being burnt with a chemical substance on Sunday night. Her colleagues said she is ambulant, fully conscious, oriented and resting comfortably, but suffering from burns on her face and chest and wounds, all allegedly inflicted by a male acquaintance.
The staff nurse/midwife in the Maternity Unit of the hospital, is in the Burns Care Unit of the institution.
She was on duty at the time of the attack when the man, with whom she had ended a relationship, attacked her in the presence of patients and others about 20:00 hrs.
Her assailant was still being sought up to press time.
