YANSEN Howard Baird, 43, of Lot 10 Ramhit Road (formerly Public Road), Kitty, Georgetown was remanded to prison yesterday on charges of conspiracy and uttering a document. Before Magistrate Fazil Azeez, who refused him bail, particulars of one of the indictable offences with which he is charged, said, between July 20, 2007 and November 2, 2010, he conspired with persons unknown to forge a Guyana passport, in favour of himself, purporting to show that it was issued by the Central Immigration Office, knowing that to be false.
The other said, on November 2, at Lethem, Rupununi, he uttered the same forgery to an immigration officer, knowing it to be false.
Baird has to be back in Court on November 9.
