Giftland on board with second edition of Caribbean Fury 2

“GIFTLAND OfficeMax is always proud to be associated with sports, in this case boxing. We feel the first edition of Caribbean Fury was off the hook and that was because of the excellent work being done by the promoter, hence we had no hesitation to join forces with them again.”
Those were the words of Giftland OfficeMax’s Marketing Director Compton Babb after making a presentation of an undisclosed sum to director of Holland Entertainment Promotions (HEP) Leon ‘Hurry Up’ Moore, who will coincidentally be headlining the card.
According to Babb, Giftland OfficeMax came on board this year as they felt head of HEP Carwyn Holland has been doing an excellent work, to which they did not wish to have regrets at not being a part of Caribbean Fury 2 which punches off at the Princess Hotel next Saturday.
In his thank you speech, Holland described Giftland OfficeMax as an integral part of HEP family and he welcomed them on board for Caribbean Fury 2.
“I must say thanks to Giftland for their timely support for the card. To me, they are a part of HEP family and with a boxer in the caliber of Leon ‘Hurry Up’ Moore of whom many fighters are leaving their division to match gloves with, headlining this card, certainly Giftland will be getting their monies worth in mileage.”
Holland was proud to state to the media that ESPN will be doing a live broadcast of the bout.
“If we cannot go to ESPN for some reason or the other, then we will have ESPN come to us and this is definitely the case for next Saturday’s card.
In Moore, we have a product and while I know that his fight against Venezuela’s Breilor Teran would not be an easy one for him, I have confidence in him that he will get past the Venezuelan who is expected to have hundreds of his countryman journey across to support him.”
He continued to state; “Having said that, I want to take this opportunity to call on corporate Guyana to throw their support not only into the card, but Moore. He is a product that sells. In fact, whatever Leon says gets worldwide attention through Fightnews.
The Guyanese business community needs to come out and get on board with him as quickly as possible and I wish to let them know it would not be a loss for them to do so, but a profit as he is widely regarded as the man to beat within his category at the moment.”
The main supporting bout will see Guyana’s Women’s Boxing Association bantamweight champion, Shondell ‘Mystery Lady’ Alfred clashing with Columbian Olga ‘ La Mona’ Julio in a six- round non- title confrontation.
National heavyweight champion Mitchell Rogers will take on Leon Gilkes will do battle, local boy James Walcott will face off with Trinidadian Joel McRae in the lightweight category, Canadian Richard Reittie tackling Guyanese Mark Murray, and Dominica- based Guyanese Clive Atwell trading punches with Errol Trotman.
