GNBS awards eight long serving employees

GUYANA National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) awarded its long serving employees last Friday. The designated ‘Staff Appreciation Day’ function was hosted in the GNBS Training Room at Sophia, Greater Georgetown, where eight awardees were recognised for their service and commitment.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Mr. Manniram Prashad lauded the commitment of the group rewarded for long years of service.
He also praised the work of GNBS and its transformation during a tour of the premises, accompanied also by Chairman of the National Standards Council, Mr. Melvyn Sankies.
After receiving their tokens of appreciation, Shailendra Rai (15 years), Candelle Walcott-Bostwick and Edward Melville (10 years) and Rodlyn Semple, Adidin Mohamed, Kenrick Singh, Kevin Beepat and Neruddeen Abzal (five years each) expressed their  gratitude, with all of them noting their tenure at GNBS and their successes.
