Two deteriorated Essequibo Coast bridges under reconstruction
THE Government of Guyana, through the Regional Administration of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), has started to reconstruct the wooden bridge that links La Resource to the Essequibo Coast Public Road.

A release, from the Regional Administration, said the contactor Mr. Doodnauth Samaroo is currently replacing the old timber beams that have deteriorated over the years and the surface of the structure will be cast in concrete and steel.
He is also rebuilding the Hampton Court bridge on the Essequibo Coast, and the  two-way overpass which is of concrete and steel, as well.
In the past months, drivers of motor vehicles have been complaining about the poor state of both bridges.
