THREE men, jointly charged with armed robbery, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday. The trio, Andy Adams, a 34-year-old taxi driver of Lot 2028 Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara; Kevin Cupidore alias ‘Weasel’ of Lot 71 Guyhoc Gardens and Jermaine Turpin, of Lot 103 ‘C’ Field, Sophia, also in Greater Georgetown, faced an indictable charge.
The allegation against them is that, on October 11, they robbed Orett Hopkinson, at gunpoint, of a Blackberry cell phone and cash, with a total worth of $52,000.
Adams was granted $150,000 bail but the other two accused were refused and remanded to prison until November 11.
