LEONARD Allicock, of Lot 43 James and Hill Streets, Albouystown, Georgetown, was yesterday refused bail on illegal firearm and ammunition charges.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to having, on October 7, a .38 revolver and four live rounds without being the holder of licences for them.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said ranks were on patrol when they received information and approached the defendant, who began to run but was chased and caught with the gun and bullets in his waist.
The case was transferred to another Court for October 14.
