Art of Living (Guyana) is extremely pleased to announce the arrival of Swami Sukhchaitanya, senior representative of world famous Spiritual leader and humanitarian, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Head of the Art of living International with affiliated centers in over 140 countries. With his simple message, “Service is the expression of joy and love…” His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has initiated a worldwide ever-expanding movement which transcends Race, Religion, Creed, Class or Colour and which has brought joy, peace, love and happiness in the lives of over three hundred million people worldwide, the Art of Living (Guyana) said in a statement yesterday.
Swamij Sukchaitanaya, Director of the Art of Living Centre in Quebec, Canada and a Chartered Accountant by training, is currently touring Latin America and the Caribbean – Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and the Dominican Republic.
He has inspired a wave of service projects in more than 30 countries around the world and has been responsible for partnerships between governments, the private sector and communities through the International Association of Human Values (IAHF), an international charity founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the Dalai Lama which work in association with the World Bank.
Swami Sukhchaitanya has guided projects related to the environment, the empowerment of youth, social sector development and the rehabilitation of prisoners and juvenile delinquents that have touched thousands of people around the world in the past years, guiding them to create a violence free and stress free society.
Swamiji’s four day schedule in Guyana includes a series of meetings with the media, public discourses, satsangs and blessings. Today, he is scheduled to have a public discourse at the Umana Yana under the theme: ‘The Modern World: Simple answers to Complex Issues- An Art of Living Perspective’ at 17:30 hrs. The general public is invited.
