BEVERAGE giant Banks DIH Limited yesterday threw in their support to the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation (K&S)-organised President’s Cup football tournament between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) at the Guyana National Stadium on September 26.
Yesterday at Banks DIH headquarters, Thirst Park, East Bank Demerara, Assistant Managing Director/Marketing Director George McDonald handed over the cheque to coordinator of the matches Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major who expressed his gratitude to the beverage company.
Major thanked Banks DIH for their continued support to football in Guyana over the years and said the contribution will go towards the expense of bringing in the overseas-based Guyanese players for this fixture.
Sales and Marketing Executive of the company, Carlton Joao in his remarks stated that his company was indeed proud to be associated with the President’s Cup football – a sentiment shared by his colleague George McDonald.
Guyana’s Golden Jaguars will face off with the Soca Warriors in the feature match which begins at 20:00 h while there will be an Under-23 contest between the two countries as well, and this game is scheduled to start at 17:30 h.
