THE Chronicle inadvertently published a letter captioned ‘The $41M question’ on page 7 of our Wednesday September 8, 2010 edition and as such hereby retract the contents of it and sincerely apologise to Mr. Sherwood Lowe for any inconvenience caused.
While we acknowledge that there are indeed myriad problems at the University of Guyana, some of which were highlighted in the offending letter written by Professor Vijay Kumar from St. Johns University, we should have exercised caution before publishing the letter.
As such, we apologise for this blunder on our part.
