LONDON: England will host Test and One-day series against both Sri Lanka and India in 2011, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced yesterday.
Hampshire’s Rose Bowl ground will stage its first Test during a three-match series between England and Sri Lanka that will be followed by a Twenty20 international and five One-Day Internationals.
England then play India in a four-Test series ahead of a Twenty20 international and a five-match One-day series.
ECB chief executive David Collier said: “With India currently the number one ranked Test side in the ICC Test Rankings and Sri Lanka in third place, England supporters can expect to see two exciting Test series against high quality opposition.
“Both teams will also provide a tough challenge for England in the shorter forms of the game in what promises to be a highly competitive and entertaining summer of international cricket all round.” (YahooSport)
